Symposium on R&D Needs in the Electronics Industry: Manufacturing and Green Issues

This symposium was held to provide an opportunity for UC faculty and researchers to become more aware of the driving issues, concerns and opportunities in electronics and semiconductor industry in environmentally conscious manufacturing. The program, principally sponsored by UC-SMART, was designed to present industry viewpoints in a series of presentations and keynotes, roundtable discussions and then, through breakout sessions in the afternoon, allow industry and university faculty and define potential areas for collaborative research and educational development, identify means for effective University/industry collaboration, and discuss future directions for this area.  During breakout sessions,attendees had the opportunity to view posters of ongoing research by UC faculty and graduate students in the field.
